Regional Impact of Information Society Technologies in Africa
IST-Africa - a multi-stakeholder initiative focused on reducing the Digital Divide in Sub-Saharan Africa

Sponsorship Opportunities

IST-Africa activities (2005 - 2006) are supported by the European Commission under the IST Programme of Framework Programme 6 (FP6).

The European Commission is supporting the IST-Africa 2007 Conference which takes place in Maputo, Mozambique, 09 - 11 May through the IST-Africa project.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the IST-Africa Conference Series, as well as organisational costs associated with the ten training workshops taking place in Mozambique and the four eGovernment focused training workshops taking place in Botswana during 2005 and 2006.

While the proposed workshop and research report activities during 2005 and 2006 are limited in geographic scope due to available resources, the goal is to reinforce wider regional exploitation and impact of IST-Africa training materials across Africa. This will be achieved by widening activities to all SADC Member States and eventually to other African ACP countries with the financial aid of sponsors and through collaboration with key regional stakeholders and partner programmes.

IST-Africa 2007 offers a variety of Sponsorship Opportunities offering your organisation high-level visibility and publicity within the international IST research community and across Sub-Saharan Africa. Prominent notice will be given to sponsors on the conference portal, in the Exhibition area and in press releases together with other benefits and promotional opportunities.

A sponsorship proposal document is available on request from IIMC. For further information, please contact Paul Cunningham (+353-1-8170607).
