Framework Programme 7

European Research Activities

European research activities are structured around consecutive multi-annual programmes, or so-called Framework Programmes. FP7 covers the period 2007-2013. FP7-ICT is fully open to international co-operation with the aim to join forces for addressing major challenges where significant added value is expected to be gained from worldwide R&D cooperation.

The Cooperation ICT WorkProgramme for 2013 which incorporates ICT Calls 10 and 11 was published on 10 July 2012. Call 10 closed on 15 January 2013. IST-Africa has organised training workshops in partner countries to raise awareness of opportunities under Open Calls for Proposals. HelpDesk assistance is also provided.

FP7-ICT Call 1 closed on 08 May 2007, Call 2 on 09 October 2007, Call 3 in April 2008, Call 4 in April 2009, Call 5 on 26 October 2009, Call 6 on 13 April 2010, Call 7 on 18 January 2011, Call 8 on 17 January 2012, Call 9 on 17 April 2012, Call 10 on 15 January 2013 and Call 11 on 16 April 2013.

Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 will commence in January 2014 as the new Framework Programme to implement the Innovation Union with research and innovation funds of €80 billion from 2014 - 2020. Click here to learn more.
